    Ethiopia exported ginger to 48 countries in the world and only six destinations mainly to neighbouring and the Gulf countries but increased rapidly to 17 countries extending to Europe, North and Latin America, South Asia, and the Gulf countries From 2014 onwards, however, the number of countries importing ginger from Ethiopia started to decline.
